MILD STEEL

MILD STEEL: it is supplied in cold-rolled strips. This material is the perfect compromise between mechanical mechanical strenght and toughness. It has been designed to withstand high loads, impacts and above all withstand fatigue. The mild steel is suitable to produce every small metal part and based on the surface roughness chosen it is suitable for any type of surface finish.

STAINLESS STEEL

STAINLESS STEEL: the main feature of the stainless steel is that it doesn’t rust if it is exposed to the atmosphere and to the water thanks to the presence of Cromium in the metal alloy. When the Cromium comes into contact with the oxygen it creates an adherent and very resistant layer of chromium oxide (CrO2) that prevents further oxidation. The components made with this material have these features: durability, anti-corrosion, hygiene, resistance, and safety. Furthermore, a real advantage to use the stainless steel is that its mechanical features reduce the products thickness comparing to other materials.

HARDENED STEEL

HARDENED STEEL: tempering is a heat treatment of the steel. Thanks to this process the material has greater mechanical strenght, high hardness and considerable breaking load. It is used to produce springs, washers, and components with rounded or round edges.

ALUMINUM

ALUMINUM: The aluminum is a silver colored ductile metal. It is mainly extracted from bauxite minerals and its main features are resistance to oxidation, softness and lightness. When the aluminum is combined with elements as copper, zinc, manganese, silicon, or magnesium, they form alloys with low density, low specific weight, high ductility, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance when they are in contact with the atmosphere. COPPER AND COPPER ALLOYS: Copper is the most used non-ferrous metal comparing with other materials such as for example the Aluminum. Copper is featured by a high thermal and electrical conductivity, a good corrosion resistance, malleability, ductility, and also good aspect; thanks to this it has a lot of applications such as, for example,

BRASS

BRASS: It is an alloy consists of copper and zinc. The mechanical properties, the color, the electrical and thermal conductivity, and the abrasion and corrosion resistance can be improved with different zinc percentage presence in the alloy. It is a very adaptable material and it is used for example for lampholders, switches, thermal exchangers, gears, hinges, and electrical components.

ALPACCA

ALPACCA: It is an alloy consists of copper, nickel, and zinc. According to the percentage of copper, the alpacca alloys can be divided into rich and poor of copper. The poor ones, thanks to their good elastic properties, can be used for electromechanical, telephony and similar sectors.

BRONZE

BRONZE: It is an alloy consists of copper and tin. According to the content of tin, the bronze can be deforming or casting processed. The first one are the most used in Antoniana Minuterie. They have good mechanical properties, most of all a high yield strenght. They are mainly used fo springs components production.
